Kurzbeschreibung
Morphologie | Morphometrie
Rückenflossenstacheln (insgesamt): 2; Rückenflossenweichstrahlen (insgesamt): 6; Afterflossenstacheln 0; Afterflossenweichstrahlen: 15; Wirbelzahl: 33 - 35. Like N. robertsi and N. palawanensis, has a large second ctenactinium that is bifid distally, but distinguished from those species by having a bone larger and more distinctly claw-shaped, and extent of a bony projection and fleshy profile on the ventral margin of the first ctenactinium that abuts the claw (Ref. 44355).
Collected over a muddy bottom, in a slightly turbid irrigation ditch relatively near the sea (Ref. 44355). Fertilization is internal and eggs are attached to the substrate via adhesive filaments (Ref. 43413).
