Morfologia | Morfometria
Spine dorsali (totale): 0; Raggi dorsali molli (totale): 12-16; Spine anali 0; Raggi anali molli: 16 - 19; Vertebre: 55 - 57. Jaw extends to posterior margin of the eye; eye is small; head displays a dorsal bulbous swelling behind eye, particularly in large individuals; caudal peduncle elongated. Principal caudal fin rays 11-13. Caudal fin rounded (Ref. 43717).
Facultative air-breathing in the genus (Ref. 126274); Inhabits ephemeral areas that dry out over summer and autumn months, where it aestivates in damp areas or under tree roots and logs (Ref. 43717).
