Kurzbeschreibung Morphologie | Morphometrie

Rückenflossenstacheln (insgesamt): 12; Rückenflossenweichstrahlen (insgesamt): 15-17; Afterflossenstacheln 2; Afterflossenweichstrahlen: 17 - 19. In life, it is dark brown with black blotches on the sides and black bars on the head, and clear fins (Ref. 1602).

Biologie     Fachlexikon (Englisch) (z.B. epibenthic)

A rare species, living among the roots of mangrove trees (Ref. 559). Also found in estuaries and stream mouths (Ref. 90102). Oviparous. Eggs are demersal and adhesive (Ref. 205), and are attached to the substrate via a filamentous, adhesive pad or pedestal (Ref. 94114). Larvae are planktonic, often found in shallow, coastal waters (Ref. 94114).
