Description synthétique
Morphologie | Morphométrie
Épines dorsales (Total): 37 - 40; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 82-92; Épines anales 3; Rayons mous anaux: 79 - 81; Vertèbres: 97 - 100. Differs from all congeners by having a unique color pattern consisting of numerous individual spots or irregular marks, sometimes forming short lines and a whitish belly devoid of any marks. Can be separated from members of the Mastacembelus armatus group by the possession of abdominal vertebrae 42-44 (Ref. 78150).
