Short description Morfologi | Morfometri

Taggstrålar i ryggfenan (totalt): 2; Mjukstrålar i ryggfenan (totalt): 6-7; Taggstrålar i analfenan 1; Mjukstrålar i analfenan: 5; Ryggkotor: 28. Can be diagnosed from its congeners by having shorter pectoral-fin spine length (18.6-21.3 vs. 21.4-30.4% SL in remaining species). Additional characters useful for its identification include lower caudal peduncle (7.6-9.0 vs. 9.3-11.0 in Otothyropsis marapoama and 9.7-11.5% SL in Otothyropsis piribebuy), deeper caudal peduncle (7.6-9.0 vs. 6.2-7.6% SL in Otothyropsis polyodon); and dorsal-fin spinelet triangular in shape (vs. spinelet rectangular or quadrangular) (Ref. 93039).

Biologi     Ordlista (t.ex. epibenthic)

Commensal with midge larvae (Chironomidae) which are attached to the gill opening or more rarely to the posterior process of the cleithrum (Ref. 93039).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5156   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00759 (0.00337 - 0.01709), b=3.12 (2.93 - 3.31), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this (Sub)family-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Resiliens (Ref. 120179):  Hög, lägsta populationsfördubblingstid mindre än 15 månader (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
