Known from Yamuna, Ganges and Brahmaputra river systems (Ref. 41236). Reported from Tripura (Ref. 97593). Museum: shore of Tumapao River close to Duma village, about 65 km NNE of Calcutta, Ganges River drainage, West Bengal, NRM 43012 (neotype of B. badis). Also recorded from Mahanadi River drainage (Ref. 46238). Also Ref. 4833.
