Known from Bhavani river, Nilgiri Hills in South India (Ref. 45255), Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu (Ref. 4832); and Krishna river (Deccan) and Pennar river in Cuddapah, Andhra Pradesh (Ref. 41236). Reported to be endemic to Western Ghats (Ref. 50614). Also Ref. 43640.
