Known from Nethravati, Chalakudy and Kallada rivers; also found in Kanjirappally waterfall (Ref. 55036). The upstream impoundments of the Chalakudy and Thanmalai Rivers may have beneficial effect on these species by providing a perennial flow in the river; many rivers in Kerala tend to dry up almost completely in dry season (Ref. 55036). |
