Comments: Presence of¨this species in the Upper Akagera is due to an introduction by man supported by the Rwandese government in the period January-February 1962; 173 specimens were brought from Jinja, near Entebbe at the borders of Lake Victoria (Uganda) to Lake Mugesera (Rwanda); starting from this lake the species dispersed all over the Upper Akagera and the Nyabarongo Rivers, as well as in most of the lakes of the Bugesera depression as was noted in collections made in Rwanda between 1984 and 1987 (Ref. 43912).     Ref:
