Diagnosis: mouth storngly curved; two pairs of barbels; last unbranched dorsal fin ray strongly ossified and inflexible; pelvic fin inserts below middle of dorsal fin; 25 or fewer scales in lateral line (Ref. 81639). Description: body depth 26.5-36.8% SL; head length 21.7-34.6% SL; papillae on upper lip and round keratinized tubercles on snout; D: IV,10; A: III,5; scale formula: 4.5-5.5/25/-; 2.5-3.5; 12; 2.5-3.5 scales from lateral line to anal fin origin (Ref. 81639). Coloration: preserved specimens uniformly dark brown (Ref. 81639). |
