Diagnosis

Pectoral fin rays 4 and segmented; first ray unbranched, its tip elongate forming a filament; rays 2-4 branched with distal tip free from the membrane. Dorsal and anal fins all branched. Dorsal procurrent caudal fin rays 21-28; ventral procurrent 21-24. Mouth subterminal; lips and barbels covered by papillae. Premaxillary teeth 27-32; dentary teeth 24-31 (Ref. 41513).
