High-oceanic, epipelagic to mesopelagic (Ref. 4066) at 80-300 m at night, 675-1000 m during day (Ref. 58302). Oviparous, with planktonic eggs and larvae (Ref. 31442). Depth range in Psubarctic Pacific gyres around 100-500 m (Ref. 51600).
