Vertebrae: 26 - 27. Longitudinal scale rows 27-29; vertebrae 26-27; oculoscapular canal usually with two post-orbital pores in adults; branchiostegal membrane with 8-13 red crossed stripes in male; red brown line below the eye; whole body covered with dark brown spots; absence of blotch on the side (Ref. 74346).
