Short description

Can be separated from Rhynchocypris percnurus by having a long pointed conical projection on male genital papilla and body depth smaller than caudal peduncle length (Ref. 59043).
Occurs in swamps, backwaters (Ref. 59043) and rivers (Ref. 1441). A mature male measures 7.0 cm TL (Ref. 1441).
