Ecology
Marine; demersal; depth range 50 - 1000 m (Ref. 26999), usually 100 - 200 m (Ref. 4471). Subtropical; 46°N - 8°N, 98°W - 36°E
Eastern Atlantic: Canary Islands south to Cape Verde and Senegal. Also recorded from the Mediterranean. Western Central Atlantic: Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean (Ref. 3814).
