| Quote | Syntype (6.67 cm SL) was in a very bad condition; all fins are broken off and the fin-rays cannot be accurately counted. The long time in formaldehyde might be the reason why we failed to count fin rays from an x-ray picture, as the formaldehyde might have decalcified all bones. There is also no skin or scales anymore. |
