Morphologie | Morphométrie
Épines dorsales (Total): 10; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 30-31; Vertèbres: 25. Weakly differentiated teeth on the lower jaw. First dorsal fin spines usually IX, dorsal fin soft rays 30-31, pectoral fin rays usually 19, lower gill rakers usually 11, ctenoid scales on the anterior half of the body, and swim bladder appendages weakly enveloping the bladder.
