Remarques Coastal, pelagic, inshore and down to 50 m depth; most likely anadromous, entering estuaries and penetrating into freshwater (to 100 km from the Orinoco mouth in Venezuela). Enters Rio Ribeira de Iguape, Brazil in October to March.
