Remarks Lives inshore (Ref. 122825, 122865), in the pelagic and demersal zones to a depth of 50 m (Ref. 122825). Found in Posidonia oceanica meadows (Ref. 122772). Schooling species. Feeds mainly on other schooling species such as clupeids and anchovies, supplemented by crustaceans. Benthopelagic (Ref. 127989).
