Remarks Inhabit rocky riffles, runs, and pools of headwaters, creeks and small to large rivers (Ref. 5723, 10294). Subadults and adults feed on detritus, filamentous algae, diatoms and occasionally on small aquatic insects; young on rotifers and microcrustacea (Ref. 10294).
