Max. size:  12.6 cm TL (male/unsexed); 13.2 cm TL (female); max. reported age: 12 years
Environment:  bathydemersal; freshwater; depth range 120 - 1600 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Asia: Endemic to Lake Baikal, Russia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Eggs very large, up to 4.25 mm. About 20 eggs in each ovary.
