Family:  Anguillidae (Freshwater eels)
Max. size:  80 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish; marine, catadromous
Distribution:  Asia: Borneo (Mahakam) and Sulawesi in Indonesia (Ref. 7050); and the Philippines (Ref. 7223).
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 104-106
Biology:  The only plain-colored, long-finned eel found in the Indonesian area. Commonly found under rocks in clear fast-flowing streams (Ref. 34011).
