Family:  Cottidae (Sculpins)
Max. size:  14 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 1 - 55 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Unalaska Island and the Alaskan Peninsula to Diablo Cove (Ref. 2850) and San Luis Obispo Cove, southern California, USA.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 8-9; Dorsal soft rays (total): 16-18; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 12-14. Pelvic fins small.
Biology:  Occurs from intertidal areas to 55 m depth (Ref. 2850). Feeds on shrimps and small fishes (Ref. 4925).
