Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 0 - 2740 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: Morocco to Namibia. Western Atlantic: Gulf of Mexico. Also known from the Indian Ocean. Possibly occurring in the Western Central Pacific (Ref. 38717).
