Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 3-3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-7; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 12-12; Vertebrae: 39-39. Body elongate moderately compressed, without keel. No barbels; scales large size; lateral line complete, decurved low and there is indistinct blackish band.
