Max. size:  41.8 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic-oceanic; marine; depth range - 0 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: southern Ireland, Spain, Portugal including scattered records in the Mediterranean. Previously confused with Belone belone.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Oviparous (Ref. 205). Eggs may be found attached to objects in the water by tendrils on the egg's surface (Ref. 205).
