Max. size:  73 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 1 - 45 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: Senegal to Côte d'Ivoire.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Burrows in sand in shallow water from near shore to the beach. The burrows may be uncovered by low tide (Ref. 4455).
