Max. size:  12 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 15 - 28 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: known only from the Philippines.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 2-2; Dorsal soft rays (total): 33-33; Anal soft rays: 30-31. Description: Characterized by yellow to yellowish grey-brown body color; narrow brown bar behind eye to gill opening; side of body with indistinct dark blotches, bands and small whitish spots; first dorsal spine shorter than snout length, above center of eye and partially fitting into groove on back; depth of body at anal fin origin 2.1-2.2 in SL; absence of spines on side of caudal peduncle; moderately concave dorsal profile of snout; rounded caudal fin (Ref. 90102).
Biology:  Inhabits outer reefs in 15-28 m (Ref. 90102).
