Distribution:  Asia: India and Bangladesh (Ref. 4832). Reported from Nepal (Ref. 6351).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits streams and rivers (Ref. 1479). Occurs in shallow slow-moving streams with sandy, muddy or gravelly bottom (Ref. 41236).
