Family:  Pomacanthidae (Angelfishes)
Max. size:  22 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 5 - 15 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Malay Peninsula, northward to southern Japan.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits coastal rocky and coral reefs (Ref. 9710). Solitary species. Feeds on sponges and tunicates. Rarely exported through the aquarium trade (Ref. 48391).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 08 October 2009 Ref. (130435)
