Family:  Clariidae (Airbreathing catfishes)
Max. size:  15.8 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater,
Distribution:  Africa: Congo River basin, especially middle Congo River basin including Kasai drainage (Ref. 78218).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs among leaf litter in shallow streams, as well as along the bank of watercourses. Stomach content analysis revealed a quantity of sand, decayed plant remains, crustaceans, insect larvae, and the remains of terrestrial insects (Ref. 78218).
