Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: River Nanliu and River Beiliu in Guangxi Province, China
Diagnosis:  Distinguished from other species of the genus Cobitis by its unique color pattern of scattered, small, elongated and oval blotches on the side of the body, well developed mental lobes and cardioid lamina circularis (Ref. 87363).
