Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: known from the type locality, off the western coast of Puerto Rico.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Holotype taken from a depth of about 458 m (Ref. 26282). Oviparous (Ref. 50449). Eggs have horn-like projections on the shell (Ref. 205).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 23 June 2019 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
