Family:  Sciaenidae (Drums or croakers)
Max. size:  64 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; brackish; marine; depth range 1 - 30 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Gulf of California to Peru.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults inhabit coastal waters, along shores and in estuaries (Ref. 9118). Feed on fishes, shrimps and other crustaceans (Ref. 9118).
