Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 605 - 1400 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Gulf of Panama, Gulf of Guayaquil, and from off Peru.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 5-7; Anal soft rays: 4-4; Vertebrae: 18-20. Cephalic lateral-line counts: subopercular usually 6 (5-6); preopercular 2. Tail lateral-line counts 10-15. Fins small, slender (Ref. 40826).
