Family:  Cyprinidae (Minnows or carps), subfamily: Smiliogastrinae
Max. size:  15 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Pungwe, Buzi and lower Zambezi in Mozambique. Records from the upper Zambezi, Kafue and Zambian Congo are unconfirmed.
