This species is distinguished by the following characters: complete cephalic sensory-canal pore system (pattern 1); branched pectoral-fin rays; dorsal/anal-fin formula 9/8;absence of dark occipital spot; heavy peppering of large dark chromatophores on pectoral-fin base; across the entire caudal peduncle is a broad dark bar; 3 light undulating lines at the side of the head (Ref. 107299). | |||
