Distribution:  Asia: known only from the Ajamaru Lakes in the center of the Vogelkop Peninsula, Irian Jaya, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-12; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 9-10
Biology:  Inhabits gravel or mud bottoms of the lakes and small nearby tributaries.
