Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: Sala y Gomez Ridge.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 227-242; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 177-204; Vertebrae: 146-147. Median fins with light margins; all lateral line pores (except for the 2nd) on the ventral margin of the canal; dorsal fin origin posterior to the bases of the pectorals, its origin above the 12th pore of the lateral line; lateral line system: supraorbital 5, infraorbital 7, postorbital 2, preopercular-mandibular 9, occipital commissure 3 (Ref. 41744).
Biology:  Maximum length based on a juvenile specimen.
