Max. size:  33.64 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range - 15 m
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: Nicobar Islands (India). Also recorded from Andaman Is. (Ref. 087596).
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 144-144. Description: Characterized by medium brown color with dark brown speckles; origin of dorsal fin well posterior to gill opening; predorsal length 20.8% of head length; preanal length 33.0% of TL; depth of body at gill opening 39.5% of head length (Ref. 90102).
Biology:  Occurs on silty bottom (Ref. 33408).
