Family:  Cyprinidae (Minnows or carps), subfamily: Cyprininae
Max. size:  35 cm NG (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: restricted to Salween basin.
Diagnosis:  Body silvery gray with pale rosy or yellow fins. Gill cover with rosy blotch, caudal fin with rosy hull.
Biology:  Inhabits large rivers and streams.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 28 March 2011 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
