| Diagnosis: | Dorsal soft rays (total): 91-93; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 44-47; Vertebrae: 98-100. Second anal fin spine stout and spur-like. Body dark brown, becoming lighter ventrally; the opercle black, inside of the mouth and gill cavities black. | |||
