Family:  Triglidae (Searobins), subfamily: Triglinae
Max. size:  20 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range - 50 m
Distribution:  Southwest Pacific: New South Wales, Australia.
Diagnosis:  Black spot with yellow border on spinous dorsal; caudal fin with pale margin and narrow pale band near base; pectoral fin dusky with iridescent blue margin, sometimes with several blue spots anteriorly near margin (Ref. 12723).
Biology:  Inhabits coastal reefs and estuaries; also offshore (Ref. 12723). Found on rubble and sand (Ref. 12723).
