Max. size:  8.6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Tar and Neuse river drainages, North Carolina, USA.
Biology:  Inhabits sandy runs and flowing pools of creeks and small to medium rivers (Ref. 86798). Oviparous (Ref. 205), probably open substratum spawners like congeners.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 27 April 2012 Ref. (124695)
