Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
Max. size:  3.4 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 1 - 20 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Cocos Island and the Galapagos Islands.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Prefers rocky substrata where it may be observed "perched" on a rock or cliff face, or protruding from a crevice. Does not form large aggregations. Preys upon various benthic invertebrates but will "grab" small planktonic organisms that continually drift in the current and surge (Ref. 28023).
