Distribution:  Africa: Sanaga River basin.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 24-28; Anal soft rays: 29-33; Vertebrae: 43-45
Biology:  Found in raceways with sandy bottoms of larger rivers (50-200 m), in the tree savannah and the more or less degraded semi-tropical forest.
