Family:  Cetomimidae (Flabby whalefishes)
Max. size:  5.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: one specimen caught north of Azores Island (47°20'N, 22°30'W).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Pelagic (Ref. 51024). Only known specimen was caught near the surface. Feeds on copepods (Ref. 6713).
IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient (DD); Date assessed: 11 October 2018 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
