Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea (Israel).
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 177-177. This species is distinguished by the following characters: trunk 22.3 % TL; predorsal length 16.3 % TL; 12 lateral-line pores before gill opening; total vertebrae 177, predorsal 22 and preanal 53 (Ref. 96670).
