Max. size:  100 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; pH range: 5
Distribution:  Africa: Lower Nile to Bahr-el-Jebel, Lake Albert, Albert and Murchison Niles near the delta (Ref. 3203). Reports from Lakes Edward and George (Ref. 3203) are misidentifications of Mormyrus kannume (Ref. 120232).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Bottom feeding insectivore; feeds mainly on chironomid larvae (Ref. 28714).
