Family:  Latridae (Trumpeters)
Max. size:  20 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 0 - 250 m
Distribution:  Southwest Pacific: Australia, including Lord Howe and Norfolk Islands and New Zealand, including Kermadec Islands.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs inshore (Ref. 75154). Feeds on small invertebrates that are sifted then sucked up from sediment.
